About Assembly Glassworks

Jaclyn Miller is a contemporary stained and fused glass artist living and working in Arvada, CO whose works center around themes of memory and nostalgia.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Jaclyn earned her BA in Art with a concentration in Mixed Media in 2009, and has explored many different creative focuses since then, from self-published memoir and slice-of-life comix while living in Chicago, to ceramic work and illustration after moving to Colorado in 2014.

In the summer of 2019, Jaclyn left her nonprofit career to focus back on her creative side, and it was in this period of exploration that she found stained glass, which she has been making daily in a spare-room-turned-studio in her home ever since. Initially enamored with the tactility and precision of the stained glass craft, Jaclyn is constantly seeking new ways to manipulate glass surfaces to further define her contemporary visual language in this centuries old way of art making. Over the years she has introduced painting, etching and sandblasting, fusing and poured-mirror stenciling into her compositions, often blending several of these processes in her finished works. She aspires to scale up her designs as her love for her crafts grows, but truly delights in and defends the value of small works.

It's been a bit of a winding road through different mediums to find the one that truly feels like home, but Jaclyn firmly believes that her varied artistic past lends itself to her unique creative voice and her technical precision in glass.
